Description
This qualification develops an understanding of how to plan and deliver a learning session incorporating assessments; allowing learners to learn, develop and practice skills required for employment and/or career progression as a trainer in many sectors.


OVERALL COURSE OBJECTIVES

Knowledge:
- Understand the planning process involved in preparing to deliver a training session
- Understand how learning needs, learning styles and learning contexts impact upon planning and adapt session plan accordingly
- Use different methods of delivery to ensure learning
- Understand how to implement teaching, training and assessment

Skills:
- Critically assess own knowledge, skills, personal attributes and behaviour, and their effect on own training ability
- Identify areas for personal development
- Plan and set priorities for future development

Competencies:
- Build stronger relationships with delegates
- Be able to review effectiveness of own capability and performance as a trainer
- Be able to conduct a self evaluation and self reflection of a training session


COURSE OUTLINE OF WHOLE PROGRAMME

The training programme is made up of four modules covering a wide spectrum of topics which are related to delivering a training session:
- Module 1: Planning a Training Session (1 ECTS)
- Module 2: Delivering a Training Session (1 ECTS)
- Module 3: Principles of Teaching, Training and Assessment (1 ECTS)
- Module 4: Using Different Training Methods (1 ECTS)
